 What are Parabens and their effects in the body?

If you ever read the ingredients in your beauty and toiletries products, you probably noticed Paraben in the list; Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Methylparaben, Propylparaben and Isobutylparaben.

These are preservatives used in most toiletries and beauty and when applied on the skin, are absorbed into the bloodstream and can be "mistaken" for estrogen, confusing the endocrine system and can cause problems including weight gain, fluid retention, depression and possibly even cancer.

In 2004, UK scientists have detected Paraben in 19 of 20 tumours studied, suggesting a direct link between parabens and breast cancer.

 

 

About the founder,

Graduate in Beauty Therapy and Aromatherapy in England and specialized in Japanese Face Lifting massage and Facial Yoga, Iara Mioti at a very young age started to research nature and develop beauty formulas for skin and hair with the help of her mother and grandmother in her parent's farm where she lived until her teens.

It was from this passion that came the desire to create a natural and organic Brazilian brand of cosmetics that could translate how she sees nature: "Powerful source of beauty and emotional health"
